The Witcher Hints
Defending the Lab
1 of 6: For this route, say that the lab is important and that you'll go with Triss, and then go inside. Note that this route will make some of the rest of the game a little easier, but gives a lesser reward.
2 of 6: Proceed forward for a little while, and you'll eventually trigger a cut-scene where the mage from outside teleports in.
3 of 6: He will trap you in a cage with him and a mini-boss battle will start.
4 of 6: To begin, immediately switch to fast style and take out the four bandits he's draining energy from. This will make him vulnerable.
5 of 6: Then, switch to strong style and beat away at the mage. It will probably take a while, but he should go down without too much trouble as long as you string combos together.
6 of 6: From there, you can proceed back downstairs to the lab, where a long cut-scene will ensue.
