How can I help protect the lumberjacks?
1 of 5: First of all, go to each of the pins on your map marked "Monsters".
2 of 5: You'll have to fight three groups of monsters: Bloedguizers, Drowners, and Echinopsae.
3 of 5: Once they are dead, you'll have to deal with the Vodyanoi. There's two ways to do this.
4 of 5: For one way, talk to Vaska -- she will tell you that you can negotiate with the Vodyanoi by putting Yaren's axe in the altar by the clay pits.
5 of 5: You can either just go to the clay pits at midnight and kill the Vodyanoi there to complete the quest, or you can negotiate. I believe negotiating gets you a little more XP.
