The Witcher Hints
How can I get to the crown witness?
1 of 9: Well, do as your journal says and go talk to Jethro about it. No one else will talk.
2 of 9: You'll have to "Bribe" him with some Fisstech. You might be able to get some from Coleman, unless you gave Haren's goods to the elves in Chapter 1, in which case he will be dead when you go to the Hairy Bear.
3 of 9: If he dies, you'll need to find an alternate source. One possibility is making it yourself via alchemy.
4 of 9: A much easier way would be to get some off Salamandra corpses, if you haven't already gotten some from them. You'll generally be attacked by them whenever you leave a house in the non-human district at night.
5 of 9: Finally, you can always find some Fisstech on one of the Salamandra corpses you can find near the clay pits in the swamp.
6 of 9: Bring that to Jethro, and he will tell you that the witness is being held at the hospital.
7 of 9: Go there and find him under guard. You can bribe the guards to talk with him (for about 30 gold), but they'll only let you talk to him at night.
8 of 9: So come back then, and he will mumble something about Kalkstein. Then a bunch of Ramsmeat's men will attack.
9 of 9: Take them all down, and report back to Raymond.
