The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
What's the first route?
of 9: It requires you to go through the locked door that's in the north wall at the path split.
of 9: To get the key to that door, go up the east stairs and kill all of the guards in the cell area. (Note that if you want to do this sneakily, there are some torches to put out and a prisoner that you'll need to quiet down using a very simple QTE.)
of 9: Past the door, use the trapdoor to jump down to another prison section.
of 9: Go through the opening in the nearby bars to get around to where you can jump over some rubble, then move on until you come to a wall hole.
of 9: Look through it to see Aryan La Valette (or Mary Louisa La Valette if Aryan is dead) being tortured, then look for a way to get into the torture chamber.
of 9: Move on past the wall hole until you come to a large metal grating on the floor, then turn left and look up to see a nook that you can climb up into.
of 9: Jump down from its other side, then turn left and quickly kill the scribe.
of 9: You'll then have a tough one-on-one fight with the executioner. Be sure to run around and dodge his blows, using signs like Yrden to stagger him when you're ready to strike.
