Protect Roche and Triss. Reach Flotsam.
1 of 3: After the conversation cut-scene is over, stay inside the protective magical sphere while following Roche along.
2 of 3: Elves will enter the barrier and attack you, so be ready to fight them as you go.
3 of 3: Eventually, you'll reach the town. The elves will stop attacking you, and you'll get the "By the Gods -- Stringing Up Sods" quest.
