The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
Help Dethmold in his necromantic ritual.
1 of 13: You'll find Dethmold in the lower camp, inside the tent that's directly across the path from the canteen tent.
2 of 13: When you talk to him, you'll learn that you need to drink a gadwall potion before the ritual can begin.
3 of 13: Check with Master Myron (sitting just outside the tent) if you need to buy a formula or any ingredients so you can make a gadwall potion yourself in meditation mode.
4 of 13: After drinking a gadwall potion, talk to Dethmold to get the ritual started.
5 of 13: In the dream, follow the other assassin along, helping him kill off any harpies you encounter.
6 of 13: When you come to a door, follow the assassin through it, then quicksave. Follow in his exact footsteps as closely as possible to avoid hitting any traps.
7 of 13: Triggering a trap will end the dream and force you to redo it -- or to restore your quicksave, preferably. Keep quicksaving every now and then so that hitting a trap will cause you to lose little progress.
8 of 13: Eventually, you'll get to Letho's camp and have a brief conversation with him. After that, the dream will switch locations to Henselt's camp.
9 of 13: You can just run forward and let the two talkative guards see you, thereby ending the dream, but it's better to finish the dream the way you're meant to.
10 of 13: Stay where you are and wait for the two guards to split up, then follow the one who's going straight ahead.
11 of 13: Sneak up behind him and click to kill him after he stops in order to trigger the next part of the dream.
12 of 13: In it, all you have to do is follow another assassin along until the dream cuts to a combat near King Henselt's tent.
13 of 13: Help your assassin pal take down the guards, then go up against the witcher (your regular character) with him. At some point during that fight, the dream will end.
