The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
Talk to the merchants on the waterfront.
1 of 3: Go to the NW end of town and look for a merchant on the path that leads to the wharf.
2 of 3: Talk to him and optionally convince him to increase the reward.
3 of 3: After that's done, go back to doing the "The Kayran" quest. (Note that you won't have another objective for this quest until that one is finished.)
