The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
Find some ostmurk in the cave beneath the elven ruins.
1 of 7: Find the nearby stream and follow it south, watching for traps and bunches of nekker monsters as you go. Moving forward slowly and retreating from large groups of nekkers is essential to surviving.
2 of 7: When you make it to a pool with a waterfall, go through the waterfall to enter a cave.
3 of 7: As you move through the cave, you'll start encountering nekkers. As before, move forward slowly and fight the nekkers one or two at a time whenever you can.
4 of 7: Fight your way south until you come to a spot where you have to climb up onto a higher cave floor.
5 of 7: A short way south of that is a greater rotfiend. It's alone, so you can probably kill it pretty easily.
6 of 7: Note that it'll explode in a cloud of toxic crud when it dies, so you may want to use the Igni sign or some other ranged attack to deliver the killing blow.
7 of 7: Loot the rotfiend to get a trophy, then look on the south wall of its cave room for a glowing item you can loot to get some ostmurk.
