The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
View the dreams from the cave in the projector and find the most powerful one.
1 of 9: Go over to the projector stone and take the "Letho's dream" crystal from it, but not before preparing for a very tough combat.
2 of 9: Set traps all around and drink useful potions, then take a practice run or two around the large, irregularly-shaped stone pillar that's just SE of the projector stone. Doing that during the combat will be very useful for evading harpies while your vigor regenerates.
3 of 9: When you're ready, take the projector's crystal to cause a bunch of celaeno harpies and the harpy queen to show up. Quickly start your big pillar run-around, blasting the harpies with Igni as you go.
4 of 9: If you go fast enough, some of the harpies may stop following you. If that happens, don't run around to where you'll catch up to them, or you'll end up being surrounded. Instead, use that to fight the harpies a few at a time. (Or go a bit slower to make sure no harpies get left behind.)
5 of 9: After it's over, go east from the projector stone and drop down a small ledge, then go over to the bright red crystal formation.
6 of 9: If any celaeno harpies show up before you take the crystal, kill them, then take the crystal and kill the others that appear.
7 of 9: Go back to the projector stone and use it, then left-click if necessary to bring up a list of dream crystals.
8 of 9: Play the red dream crystal to find that it's a dragon's dream. When you exit the projector stone interface, the quest will end.
9 of 9: You'll need to retrace your route to exit the harpy lair and get back to Vergen, fighting lots of new harpies along the way. (Note that the outdoor harpies won't approach the big wooden idol, so it's possible to just run past them instead of fighting them.)
