The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
Enter the Dragon
of 13: After you regain control, run up the stairs that are in front of you, then continue forward along the path to the tower.
of 13: Go around to the tower's left side to find a ledge you can climb up on.
of 13: Enter the tower through a hole in the wall, then start running up its spiraling stairs after quicksaving.
of 13: As you go, you'll need to watch out for falling rubble and the dragon's fiery breath. Use the Quen sign for protection right after you start up the stairs.
of 13: Whenever the dragon makes a big wall hole, you'll need to run past the hole as fast as possible, since it'll soon stick its head in and flame you up close.
of 13: When you make it to the top of the stairs, a conversation with Síle will start. After it's over, something will go wrong with her teleportation device.
of 13: You can either just stand and watch her die, or you can go over to the nearest teleport pedestal and use it to save her life.
of 13: Either way, the dragon will soon break through the wall and attack you. Be sure to get your Quen sign recast right away.
of 13: The best time to charge the dragon and hack it with your silver sword is when it's breathing fire. Do your best to dodge its other attacks, and keep recasting Quen when it wears off.
of 13: After the dragon loses a good chunk of health, a cut-scene will happen in which it wrecks the floor. After you regain control, climb up the jagged remains of the tower wall to get onto the roof.
of 13: The second stage of dragon combat will be similar to the first one, but the dragon will have a lot more freedom of movement, and you'll have to use a lot more frantic rolling to get around and dodge its blows. Note that it can breathe fire at you while flying around out of reach, dive at you from the sky, and swipe at you with its tail.
of 13: When its health gets really low, you'll get a cut-scene where the dragon flies off and gets impaled on a tree. What happens next depends on who you helped earlier: Philippa or Triss.
of 13: If you helped Philippa, you'll automatically use her magic dagger to revert Saskia to her human form. Otherwise, you'll have to choose whether to kill the dragon or just walk away. (Either choice is okay, since the dragon is far too injured to do any more harm if you let it live.)
