The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
Troll Trouble
of 11: To get this quest, click on the notice board that's to the right of the inn's entrance door, then click on the troll contract and choose to take it.
of 11: Exit Flotsam through its SE gate, then follow the wide path all the way east to its end.
of 11: Look near the path's end for a peasant who's under attack by nekkers. Help him kill the nekkers, then talk to him to learn more about the troll.
of 11: Run back to Lobinden and talk to Chorab about the troll to get him to offer to pay you for saving it, then go talk to the troll.
of 11: The troll will ask you for vodka. As far as I know, there's no way to get any, so you'll have to admit you don't have any.
of 11: The troll will then attack you. He's a very powerful opponent, so use the Yrden sign to trap him and strong blows from the silver sword to knock down his health.
of 11: When he surrenders, you can say "not good enough" to continue the battle, or you can talk to him about his drinking problem.
of 11: If you continue the battle, kill the troll, then go back to Flotsam to get your reward.
of 11: After you kill Dmitri, go back down to the area under the troll bridge.
of 11: Tell the troll that you got his mate's killers, then go talk to Chorab at his house in Lobinden to get 100 orens (or 200 if you can successfully persuade or intimidate him).
