Exactly what happens if I make this choice?
1 of 4: You'll need to return to the beach where you met the three spirit sisters.
2 of 4: There, you'll find Mavrick's corpse.
3 of 4: Examine it to get a demon to appear and fight you within a ring of fire. Be sure to avoid its charges while hacking on it with the silver sword.
4 of 4: When you kill it, the quest will end, and will be marked as failed (because Mavrick's dead). At least you can loot the demon to get a bullvore trophy and a diagram for an oddly-named steel sword.
