The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints

Provoke the guards.

  • 1 of 4: When you finally regain control after all the cut-scenes, rotate your view until two on-screen mouse prompts appear.
  • 2 of 4: You can use one mouse button to free yourself using the key that Roche gave you, or you can use the other mouse button to provoke the guards.
  • 3 of 4: If you free yourself, you'll get the "Take the key from the guard and escape from the dungeons" objective. Provoking the guards gets you the "Defeat the guards" objective.
  • 4 of 4: The only difference between the two objectives is how the fight with your guards is done. You may find it easier if you provoke the guards instead of freeing yourself.
