Talk to the soldiers about the conspiracy against Henselt.
1 of 4: There are two possibilities for getting the square coin that you need.
2 of 4: One is to go up to the canteen tent (marked as an inn on the area map) to overhear a conversation that gets you the "The Butcher of Cidaris" quest.
3 of 4: The other is to talk to one of the drunk soldiers who are east of the arena about Odrin to get the "In Cervisia Veritas" quest.
4 of 4: NOTE: You can get a square coin while examining the execution site on the "The Blood Curse" quest's first objective, but you won't know how to use it unless you do one (or both) of the above quests.
