How do I open the portcullis?
1 of 7: Take a look at the portcullis. You'll see a set of chains connected to it from above. You'll need to raise it from above.
2 of 7: Making your way to the roof of Rapax Castle, keep an eye on your map. You should be able to tell when your party is approximately above the portcullis. Unfortunately, the door here is locked.
3 of 7: Returning to the portcullis downstairs, examine the surrounding area. The key is very close by -- you can even see it if you stand at the right place.
4 of 7: Did you notice the grate in the floor in the corridor outside this room?
5 of 7: Looking through the grate, you can see a key below you. You just need to find a way to raise the grate.
6 of 7: Examine the portcullis room again -- notice any other interesting features?
7 of 7: Stepping onto the raised platform at the center of this room will cause the grate in the corridor to rise. Now you can grab the key, and use it to unlock the door upstairs. Flip the lever inside the locked room to raise the portcullis.
