Wizardry 8 Hints
Which characters should I have in my party?
Okay, I've already pointed out that virtually any combination of character classes should be able to complete the game. Here are a few sample parties just to give you an idea:
This group gives you a well-balanced team, with classes that are relatively straightforward to develop. The Ranger's Scout ability will pinpoint any hidden items for a player's first run-through of the game.
Expert's party:
Samurai
Lord
Monk
Ninja
Bishop
Gadgeteer
This group takes a lot of work to develop, but by the end of the game they should be extremely powerful.
Many players plow their way through the game using the tactic of getting as close to the enemy as possible and simply hacking away. Ranged weapons are very effective in Wizardry 8 and lend a different strategy to combat.
This party is a blast to play. The Rogue studies Throwing, to make use of various bombs and powders, while the Fighter learns Artifacts to invoke the powers of magical items.
Death Squad:
Ninja
Bishop
Bard
A very small party capable of learning just about every skill in the game.
