How do I operate the controls in the planetarium?
1 of 11: That piece of paper taped on top probably has something to do with what you're trying to do here.
2 of 11: The paper shows you what appear to be the Abkanis symbols for the compass directions north, west, east, and south.
3 of 11: Have you seen those symbols anywhere else in this fort?
4 of 11: Go into the workshop and look through the telescope on the rampart outside.
5 of 11: You should be able to see a column with those same symbols written on it. Zoom in on it, and Aline will have memorized them.
6 of 11: Well, you have some directions, but what do you do with them?
7 of 11: Maybe Carnby could help.
8 of 11: Radio him. He will then read off a list of numbers corresponding to those directions.
9 of 11: The numbers he read off were 1, 0, 3, 1, 2, 0, 0, and 1.
10 of 11: Hmm ... eight numbers from Carnby and eight numbers on the control panel.
11 of 11: Enter those numbers into the panel, and you'll learn that Carnby has to face east to read his incantation. You'll also unlock a storage area with several items in it. (It's also possible that Carnby will give you the numbers in the order 3, 1, 1, 0, 2, 0, 0, 1 in some versions of the game, corresponding to the date form 31/10/2001 instead of 10/31/2001. At least that's the order that appeared briefly in the cut-scene after I entered the American-style 10/31/2001.)
