Anachronox Hints

Can you tell me where to find some of the beetles?

  • 1 of 4: Many colors of beetles are just sitting out in the open in the various colored bug nests all over the worlds of Anachronox.  I won't list the location of every one, but just in case you can't find a particular color, I will list at least one location for each color.  The bug nests regenerate over time, including whenever you leave and re-enter a map section.  If you want a lot of a single color, just wait a bit or go back and forth between map sections until you have as many bugs as you can hold.  (I've tried to list locations near a map exit.)  Particular locations are in the next few hints.
  • 2 of 4: Cyan Beetle: In the Junkyard, just above the crystal trees

    Blue Beetle: Somewhat into the Upper Routubes (near where you meet/met Zeezvan, Detta's Gorian drug connection)

    Purple Beetle: In MysFac, turn left immediately after entering and look in the side rooms on the next floor down

    Red Beetle: Near the Red Light District in the Lower Routubes

    Yellow Beetle: At the start of the Upper Routubes (near the Commons Area)

    Green Beetle: In the Fountain Spiral (Anachronox) on the way to Casinox

    White Beetle: Near the start of the Lower Routubes (near the Upper Routubes)
  • 3 of 4: Obsidian Beetle: On the rocks in the Sagentane Crevice of Limbus, not too far from the exit back to the Wilds of Limbus
