Anachronox Hints
What is a Cobalt Crawler?
1 of 8: A Cobalt Crawler is special. While most bugs live in nests, these can be found out on their own. There are only 8 Cobalt Crawlers in the entire game, and some of them must be found at fairly particular points in the game.
2 of 8: If you place a Cobalt Crawler in one of the slots on the top half of the Elementor, it adds 14 to the cost of the effect but adds 56 to the output. (If you'd like, you can think of a Cobalt Crawler as a level 7 bug that has a 200% harmony wherever it goes, but at twice the usual cost.)
3 of 8: The Cobalt Crawler also has a very important effect -- it causes the MysTech to attack all of your enemies, or it targets all of your party if you use the MysTech defensively.
4 of 8: If you find all 8 Cobalt Crawlers, you can also create a special attack.
5 of 8: You can create a Hecatomb effect by placing one Cobalt Crawler in the bottom slot and the rest in all of the top slots.
6 of 8: The resulting spell takes 392 NRG and does 9999 points of damage to all of your enemies. Most "off-the-shelf" shieldcells available in stores can't handle this, but a few special ones will.
7 of 8: The Vigil Safecell from Limbus works. You can get this as a reward for tracking down some missing armor.
