Anachronox Hints
Kill the Anox Doorlord.
of 9: If you're looking for a really big challenge, you can find an Anox Doorlord to fight in the MysTech Tunnels after you've been to Limbus. He's in the upper section of the tunnels, not too far from the rapids.
of 9: As I said, this is one really tough battle. You'll want to max out at least some of your battle skills, and it wouldn't hurt if you'd found all 8 Cobalt Crawlers for the special attack that those give you.
of 9: The Doorlord over 100,000 (yes, one hundred thousand) hit points. His attacks aren't bad either -- they include all the status effects like psyslave, and if you let him get off enough attacks, one of them does 9999 hit points of damage to everyone all at once.
of 9: In this case, the best offense is a good defense.
of 9: Make sure that you have Grumpos for his Yammer skill and/or Democratus for his TractorHold skill, and use those skills frequently to make sure that the Doorlord attacks as rarely as possible. Either one will hold the Doorlord for a few seconds or until you attack him, whichever comes first. (Sly's FlashBlind will also do that, but it's a second-level battle skill, so it's available less often and thus is less useful here.)
of 9: To maximize your stun effect, it's generally best to wait until all 3 characters have their turn and then use Yammer or Tractorhold to freeze the Doorlord until you're ready for the next round.
of 9: Also, if you have a Circlet of Safety, put it on Grumpos or Democratus to protect against the status attacks -- you don't want to lose the character who can stop the Doorlord.
of 9: Beyond that, just use whichever attacks are best for the characters in your party, and replenish health and NRG as needed. The hecatomb attack is very nice, as are most characters' highest battle skills, when those become available. It will still take a while to kill him, but it can be done.
of 9: Your main reward is a Recycler Shieldcell, with 999 NRG capacity, 666 available shield, and no throughput limit.
