2 of 19: The task name is referring to the big yellow-green gate that you can easily spot, so try going through it.
3 of 19: Naturally, it's locked. Thereby the task.
4 of 19: Look around the gate to see if there are any opening gimmicks nearby.
5 of 19: To the right of the gate is a stone pedestal, and to the left is a weight on an identical pedestal.
6 of 19: Examine the empty stone pedestal to learn that an exact weight has to be put there.
7 of 19: That must be why that other weight is on the pedestal to the left of the gate -- you need both of them in place to open it.
8 of 19: So your task becomes finding something that's exactly the right weight to put on the empty stone pedestal.
9 of 19: Since you don't know exactly how much that item weighs, there's no point in trying to substitute various inventory items. I'm sure you remember how much luck Indiana Jones had with guestimating the weight of that golden idol in "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
10 of 19: You need to somehow get the actual weight item that was specially made to work on that stone pedestal.
11 of 19: But how can you do that, since it's not lying around anywhere, and you can't leave the area?
12 of 19: Search your inventory carefully. Do you have anything that might get you out of here temporarily?
13 of 19: You've still got that wacky slave's time machine. Maybe it'll work.
14 of 19: Oh, that's right. He said the battery was all used up.
15 of 19: Recharging the battery will automatically activate it, and you'll be taken back in time to Chapter One, where you'll become the "Fata Morgana" that you saw and tossed a rock at back then.
16 of 19: At least this rock hit didn't drain your energy bar.
17 of 19: Check your inventory when you return to Chapter Four.
18 of 19: Hey, it wasn't a rock that the "old" Assil picked up and threw -- it was the exact scale weight that you need! Will coincidences never cease?
19 of 19: Use the scale on the stone pedestal to the right of the gate to remove the last obstruction and open the gate.
