Ankh Hints

Find a way to speak to the Pharaoh.

  • 1 of 16: You start the game with this on your to-do list.
  • 2 of 16: The first thing you'll need to do is find a way to sneak out of your home (see "Find a way out, but not through the door!").
  • 3 of 16: Once you're out, run to the bazaar. It has an entrance a bit to the left of your home's front door.
  • 4 of 16: When Volcano talks to you, ask him about seeing the Pharaoh.
  • 5 of 16: He'll mention that the snobby palace guards are unlikely to let you in, but they seem to be afraid of something. Too bad he doesn't know what.
  • 6 of 16: Why not go ask the guards?
  • 7 of 16: Near the palace entrance, talk to the guards about what they're afraid of until they admit to being afraid of crocodiles due to some big massacre involving a lot of arms being bitten off.
  • 8 of 16: So now you know how to scare them off! Drag a crocodile up here by its tail so the guards will see it and run away.
  • 9 of 16: On second thought, it might be safer to make a crocodile costume to wear. They might be scared enough of that.
  • 10 of 16: You'll need to get some genuine crocodile skin and teeth, plus some sort of skull.
  • 11 of 16: Once you've got all those items, you'll need to find someone who can make a costume out of them.
  • 12 of 16: After they agree to make the costume if you gather the materials, click the three materials you've gathered (crocodile teeth, crocodile handbag, and skull) on them.
  • 13 of 16: You'll get a nifty crocodile mask when you hand over the third component.
  • 14 of 16: Now go scare those palace guards with it.
  • 15 of 16: Put it on by right-clicking on it while you're in the back road area next to the palace forecourt, then enter the forecourt.
  • 16 of 16: Even though the costume is really just a mask, the dippy guards will be scared by it, and Assil can walk right on into the palace and Chapter Two: An Indecent Proposal.
