And Then There Were None Hints

How do I gather fingerprints?

  • 1 of 16: If you've ever watched CSI, you know how it's done: puff some fingerprint powder on the spot, then collect it with adhesive tape.
  • 2 of 16: You don't have fingerprint powder, but what about some other kind of powder?
  • 3 of 16: Remember where you got the batteries?
  • 4 of 16: You've still got a handful of flour in inventory. In the pantry, you'll also find a turkey baster that you can use to puff it about. Combine flour and turkey baster to make a device for puffing powder onto things.
  • 5 of 16: And where would you expect to find a roll of scotch tape?
  • 6 of 16: It's in the desk in the library.
  • 7 of 16: Now you're ready to go. To get fingerprints off something, use the turkey baster with flour on the item, then use the tape on it. You can compare fingerprints by combining them in inventory, then looking at them.
  • 8 of 16: You can get one from the glass Marston was drinking out of. It's on the little table behind the sofa in the parlor.
  • 9 of 16: And what about that sailor boy centerpiece? Try the white base of the thing, in the front.
  • 10 of 16: The rest of the fingerprints are in the guest rooms upstairs. You can find four sets of fingerprints upstairs, all on the handles of various bags.
  • 11 of 16: Fingerprints can be found:
  • 12 of 16: -- On the handle of Marston's briefcase
  • 13 of 16: -- On the handle of Miss Brent's makeup bag
  • 14 of 16: -- On the handle of Vera's makeup bag
  • 15 of 16: -- On the handle of Dr. Armstrong's medical bag
  • 16 of 16: What you discover from this may seem very telling and important to you, but Narracott doesn't seem to care very much. Oh well.
