Aura: Fate of the Ages Hints
How can I open the cell door for the prisoner?
of 13: The cell with the prisoner will not be accessible until after you've solved the The gears puzzle in the statue room.
of 13: There is a fairly obvious puzzle nearby. It seems that the puzzle is the "locking mechanism" for the cell.
of 13: Look closely at the puzzle: notice the six movable shapes -- there are three triangles, and three circles.
of 13: Also look at the mechanisms above and below the six shapes.
of 13: They, too, seem to have either triangular or circular attributes.
of 13: However, they do not match the six movable pieces.
of 13: It would make sense, then, that your task is to exchange the triangular and circular pieces, so that they match the shapes above and below them.
of 13: It seems that the pieces can move either left or right, as long as there is not another piece blocking the way.
of 13: It also appears that a piece may move through the center triangular-shaped track by going either across the top, or through the bottom of the triangle.
of 13: This is actually a fairly simple -- but tedious -- puzzle, if you stop to think it through. You will need to move one piece from each side into its proper position, then one piece from the other side into its proper position.
of 13: Continue alternating from one side to the other as you work on the puzzle.
of 13: Note that each side has an extra space at the very ends into which you can move a piece -- almost like a temporary "holding cell".
of 13: You'll need to make use of that extra space, as you shift the pieces to their opposite sides.
