Aura: Fate of the Ages Hints
How do I solve the puzzle with the 3 stands?
of 11: Did you notice the drawing of the stands in your journal?
of 11: The stands don't have any power right away. In order for them to work, you have to get the waterwheel working.
of 11: Each of the three stands can be rotated by you. You can also attempt to close the stands, using the lever in front of the stands (to see the lever, remember to take one step away from the stands and look down and to the side).
of 11: The goal is to get all the stands closed. To do this, the battery on the bottom must be in the correct position for it to fit amongst the batteries on the top when the lid attempts to close.
of 11: As you play with the controls for the battery stands, it seems that each stand may (or may not) rotate before it tries to close. And if all the lids won't close, you'll have to start all over again.
of 11: There is no pattern to the rotation. It seems to be totally random. It looks like you will need more information about how to set up each stand, before attempting to close the lids.
of 11: Someone close by may be able to help you.
of 11: For an excellent clue as to how to solve this puzzle, go knock on the door at the back of the room and speak with the mechanic.
of 11: The mechanic points you to the array of cylinders on the other side of the room, and informs you that the cylinders will help you solve the puzzle.
of 11: Using the information you get from the cylinder array, set each of the battery stands appropriately, and use the battery stand control. If done correctly, you will see the three stands rotate into exact alignment and their lids close.
