How can I open the big iron gate just past the crevice?

  • 1 of 8: The large machine to the left of the gate is the key to opening it.
  • 2 of 8: First, notice that its lever is padlocked.
  • 3 of 8: Now you need to figure out how to set the big rotating gimmick that's to the left of the lever.
  • 4 of 8: Even after that's done, there's something missing, since pulling the lever doesn't do anything.
  • 5 of 8: There's another item you need to use on the machine. Look for it nearby.
  • 6 of 8: Go back to the crevice and look at the skeleton that's next to this end of it.
  • 7 of 8: Take the red leather belt from the skeleton, then go use it on the lower wheel on the machine.
  • 8 of 8: Now you can use the lever to open the nearby gate.
