Artifact Fragment 1

  • 1 of 15: To find this fragment, you need to use the location information that Conrad Morse left behind.
  • 2 of 15: Check the journal pages that he left in his motel room.
  • 3 of 15: His room is #3, so go in there and look around.
  • 4 of 15: The page that's sticking out from under a pillow on the bed is the one you need to read.
  • 5 of 15: In the large central paragraph, he says that he hid this artifact fragment at the service station. How convenient!
  • 6 of 15: Notice that he says his GPS device will display certain coordinates when you're in the right spot.
  • 7 of 15: So get the GPS Unit and activate it by clicking on it in inventory and then clicking on its big "Activate" button.
  • 8 of 15: In every area except the right one, the GPS' coordinate display will be all diddly and impossible to read.
  • 9 of 15: So move around the service station area until you get the numbers from the journal page clearly displayed.
  • 10 of 15: The only place that will happen is in the forecourt near the gas pumps.
  • 11 of 15: Stand in the spot that's on the other side of a tall metal pillar from the abandoned car.
  • 12 of 15: When you stand there and face the abandoned car, the GPS unit should display the coordinates clearly.
  • 13 of 15: Notice that there's a big white fire extinguisher on your side of the metal pillar.
  • 14 of 15: Click on it to zoom in, then again to raise it up a bit.
  • 15 of 15: There's your artifact fragment!
