Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle Hints

Artifact Fragment 2

  • 1 of 23: Conrad Morse also found and then hid this fragment, so search his motel room (#3) for a clue to its location.
  • 2 of 23: Check out the desk with the locked briefcase on it.
  • 3 of 23: There's a drawer on the right side of the desk that you can open.
  • 4 of 23: Open the drawer, then click on it for a close-up of its contents.
  • 5 of 23: Click on the digital voice recorder gadget to bring it up, then use its + and - buttons to listen to the five recorded messages.
  • 6 of 23: Message #2 is the one with the clue you're after.
  • 7 of 23: It says that this artifact fragment is hidden near the old ruined building in the swamp.
  • 8 of 23: See the Swamp and Radio Station section if you need hints on getting into the swamp.
  • 9 of 23: Once you're in, follow the board walkways along until you can get off next to a ruined building.
  • 10 of 23: Unfortunately, searching around the building will do you no good.
  • 11 of 23: That is, unless you have a device that will help you find the artifact fragment.
  • 12 of 23: It's buried, and you'll have to know where to dig.
  • 13 of 23: The GPS unit is no help this time, so get yourself an item that many people use to (hopefully) find buried treasure.
  • 14 of 23: What kind of device used to always be advertised as helping you find buried treasure in your own backyard?
  • 15 of 23: That's right! You need a Metal Detector.
  • 16 of 23: Once you have it, return to the ruined chapel area and activate the detector by clicking on it in inventory and then clicking its on/off switch.
  • 17 of 23: Move around until the metal detector's needle jumps way over to the right.
  • 18 of 23: This will happen if you move straight toward the chapel's walls from the cross-shaped monument.
  • 19 of 23: When the needle spikes, click the Zoom In cursor near the bottom of the screen.
  • 20 of 23: Click on the large rock near the bottom center of the screen to move it and another rock aside.
  • 21 of 23: Then dig up the fragment.
  • 22 of 23: Use the handy Trowel to do that.
  • 23 of 23: Click on the artifact fragment to take it, and on the note to read it. (It re-emphasizes the importance of the offerings.)
