Bioshock Hints

Step-by-Step Security Assault Plan

  • 1 of 24: The first security camera is at the top of the stairs that are near the gate you just opened.
  • 2 of 24: It's way too high up for you to hack, so run up as close as you can and shoot it out. (Hit it with an Electro Bolt first if you want to make sure it doesn't sound an alarm.)
  • 3 of 24: The second security camera is in an alcove that's just to the left of the top of the second set of stairs.
  • 4 of 24: To get in under it where it can't see you, immediately turn left after going up the stairs.
  • 5 of 24: This camera is so close to you, you can bash it with the wrench if you want to. Or you can hack it if you don't mind taking the time.
  • 6 of 24: Continue on to where you'll find a padlocked gate on your right.
  • 7 of 24: There's a turret a ways past the gate, so stand to where it can't see you while bashing the padlock.
  • 8 of 24: After saving your game, quickly strafe out of cover and zap the turret, then run up to it and hack it.
  • 9 of 24: As soon as you're done hacking it, turn right and zap the RPG turret that's nearby.
  • 10 of 24: Hack it, then look up and hack the camera that's right above it. (That's a lot of hacking in a row, but it'll be worth it.)
  • 11 of 24: When that's done, get out the wrench and bash the padlock off the gate that's between the two turrets you just hacked.
  • 12 of 24: Go through the gate, then run forward and crouch-walk through the hole in the wall ahead.
  • 13 of 24: You're now in an area that's safe from the attacking splicers, so look around for gear while you wait for the attack to end.
  • 14 of 24: When it does, go back out through the wall hole and gate, then turn left.
  • 15 of 24: Go to the end of the corridor, then turn left to find another turret just around the corner.
  • 16 of 24: You need to quickly zap and hack it, then retreat back to your little safe room past the wall hole while another splicer attack happens.
  • 17 of 24: Now all that's left is the RPG turret that's in the NW corner of the area.
  • 18 of 24: You can approach it from a couple of different directions. Pick one, then zap-and-hack it like you did the other turrets.
  • 19 of 24: Retreat to the safe area one more time as a splicer attacks, then the area can finally be considered safe, though there is one more security camera in an optional side room.
  • 20 of 24: If you want to find it, look for a big square hole in the east wall, near the first turret you hacked. (The hole may or may not have a grate covering on it.)
  • 21 of 24: Crouch-walk into the hole, then bash the grating out of its other end.
  • 22 of 24: The camera you're after is in the room beyond, high up on the wall to the right.
  • 23 of 24: There's no way to hack it, but you can run up underneath it without being seen and then shoot it to pieces.
  • 24 of 24: NOTE: Most of the splicers who appear do so because you hack the security devices, so you could just quickly shoot them out instead of hacking them. However, that's less fun and gives you less loot.
