Bioshock Hints

Kill Silas Cobb.

  • 1 of 15: After you're through with Finnegan, return to the frozen chamber where you fought him.
  • 2 of 15: Find the frozen-over Securis door in the SW corner of the area and de-ice it with Incinerate.
  • 3 of 15: Past a short frozen corridor, you'll come to the main Poseidon Plaza area, which isn't frozen over. It is, however, overrun with spider splicers.
  • 4 of 15: There are a lot of areas in the plaza that you can search to find optional supplies and combat.
  • 5 of 15: You may also find one or both of the remaining little sisters roaming about the plaza with their big daddy escorts. When you're ready to kill them, use the General Big Daddy Combat Tips. (Hopefully, you've been saving up electric gel for just such an occasion.)
  • 6 of 15: When you're ready to go after Cobb, go to the upper floor and find the entrance to Rapture Records.
  • 7 of 15: You'll hear Cobb yakking as you enter, so look around for him.
  • 8 of 15: Go to the edge of the broken flooring and look ahead to see what appears to be someone sitting in a chair near a large sign.
  • 9 of 15: However, shooting him doesn't seem to have any effect.
  • 10 of 15: Drop down and approach the chair to find that the guy is a dummy rigged with a bomb.
  • 11 of 15: Quickly run back the way you came to avoid damage from the blast. You can't jump back up onto the floor you were on, though.
  • 12 of 15: Soon after the bomb goes off, Cobb will run away and some flaming spider splicers will drop down and attack.
  • 13 of 15: After the splicers are dead, look around for napalm and first aid kits, then get back onto the upper floor.
  • 14 of 15: Once you're up there, you'll have to fight Silas Cobb to the death.
  • 15 of 15: When he dies, you'll get the "Photograph Cobb's corpse" goal.
