Bioshock Hints

Security Handling Tips

  • 1 of 12: NOTE: Having the physical tonic Security Evasion in effect will help by delaying the response times of the turrets and camera.
  • 2 of 12: Turn left at the bottom of the first set of stairs to find three trap bolt wires strung across your path.
  • 3 of 12: You can crouch-walk under the first two wires, but that's not the best solution.
  • 4 of 12: Due to the turrets in the area, going along and removing trap bolts using the general Trap Bolt Tips isn't the best solution, either.
  • 5 of 12: Instead, equip Electro Bolt or Winter Blast and drop down into the water from a spot near the first wire.
  • 6 of 12: Turn right and zap the turret there, then quickly run up to it and hack it.
  • 7 of 12: If you're fast enough, you won't take much damage from the other turret, and can stand back and let the two turrets shoot it out. (You might want to get to where you can shoot the other turret with the pistol to make sure your turret wins.)
  • 8 of 12: After that's over, find the east-side passage a bit to the south that leads into an area with a flame-throwing turret.
  • 9 of 12: Quickly zap and hack (or destroy) it, then return to the main watery area.
  • 10 of 12: Go up the first set of stairs and look to the left to see a security camera in the distance.
  • 11 of 12: Wait until the camera is turned away, then run up to it and hack it.
  • 12 of 12: Now all that's left are the trap bolts. Go along and eliminate them carefully one at a time until they're all gone.
