Bioshock Hints

Search Heat Loss Monitoring.

  • 1 of 11: When you get this goal, several splicers will start cutting through the nearby door that's labeled "Hephaestus Core."
  • 2 of 11: Go through the core door and a flooded room, then head down the winding corridor that takes you to the core area.
  • 3 of 11: Past the door on the left is an area where you'll find a big daddy fighting some splicers.
  • 4 of 11: When that's over, explore the core area to find lots of supplies and enemies.
  • 5 of 11: After you're through clearing out the core, find the "Heat Loss Monitoring" doors along the south side. (They're near the vending machine that only gives live grenades.)
  • 6 of 11: Going through those doors will get you into a large room with several corpses scattered about.
  • 7 of 11: The lights will go out twice as you move forward. When they do, just stand still until they come back on.
  • 8 of 11: Right after the second temporary blackout, be ready for some "corpses" to jump up and attack.
  • 9 of 11: Past that is the Upper Heat Loss Monitoring area, where you'll probably encounter another big daddy and little sister team.
  • 10 of 11: Go around to the south end of the area to find the stairs that lead down to the Lower Heat Loss Monitoring area, but watch out for more play-dead splicers near both the top and bottom of the stairs.
  • 11 of 11: After they're disposed of, look around the area for supplies and the goal item that you're after.
