Bioshock 2 Hints
Gather #1 Tips
1 of 5: After the gather starts, run to the SE corner of the area and just stand there camouflaged while the rocket turret blasts anything that comes near the little sister.
2 of 5: If it's fully repaired when the gather starts, it should survive long enough to kill all the attackers. However, you might want to quicksave before starting the gather just in case.
3 of 5: Another strategy is to crouch down near the turret's right side and wait out the gather there. That way, you can repair it whenever it gets badly damaged without having to move and lose your invisibility. However, this is much more dangerous due to possible splash damage, and you should definitely quicksave before trying it.
4 of 5: If you don't want to lose your rocket turret on this gather, it's necessary to stay next to it and repair it frequently, and to make sure it doesn't accidentally damage a big daddy. There's no way to stop it from doing that if a big daddy wanders through during the gather (which is likely), so save before the gather begins, then restore if it happens. (It might be best to then wait for the big daddy to wander into the holding cells area before starting the gather.)
5 of 5: NOTE: If your turret kills a big daddy who has a little sister with him (which can only happen if you're next to the turret and constantly repair it), the little sister will stay there until you're done with your current one. After you wall-vent her, you can pick up the one whose big daddy was killed by the turret. (She never will stop crying, though.)
