How can I make the imprint readable?
1 of 5: The idea here is that Miss Valley was writing on the sheet of paper above that one, then tore off the sheet she was writing on. However, her pen or pencil pressed down hard enough to leave an imprint of what she wrote on the next page (the one you have).
2 of 5: Since the parts of the paper with the writing imprints on it are pressed down a bit, maybe you could lightly brush the paper with something dark-colored to create a contrast between the imprinted and un-imprinted parts of the paper.
3 of 5: The edge of a pencil (if it's well-sharpened) can be used to do that.
4 of 5: So can lumps of charcoal.
5 of 5: Use either the pencil or the piece of coal that you can get from next to the stove on the paper to reveal its message.
