How can I finish Chapter I?

  • 1 of 7: Samuel is very curious about his grandfather William Gordon's death, and so should you be after seeing the game's introductory movie. Therefore, the main goal of Chapter I is to investigate William's death and find out as much as possible about what he was doing right before he died. This involves several concurrent investigations.
  • 2 of 7: One major thing you'll want to do is find a way to get into William's study in the old tower, which is where he was in the game's intro movie. See the Black Mirror Manor, Upstairs: The Old Wing hints to get started on that.
  • 3 of 7: Another thing to do is investigate the exact place of William's death. If you'll remember, he fell out of a tower window and landed on some sharp-looking fencing near the base of the tower. Several questions in the Black Mirror Manor, Grounds hint section deal with this.
  • 4 of 7: There's also a torn-up photograph that you need to find, reassemble, and ask people about. It's in the manor's old wing.
  • 5 of 7: You'll also need to travel to Willow Creek and the Warmhill Vicarage.
  • 6 of 7: The chapter will end when you leave William's study after getting all you need from it.
