How can I get the guy to drink the beer I drugged?
1 of 17: Remember that he said something about drinking beer to cool down.
2 of 17: Maybe it's not hot enough in there for him to feel the need to cool down just yet.
3 of 17: He also said earlier that the boiler has a new temperature-regulating thermostat installed that automatically determines what temperature needs to be maintained. You need to get at that thermostat somehow.
4 of 17: Have you found anything else that is interactive around the outside of the boiler room?
5 of 17: Look at the little window down near the ground that's to the left of the boiler room door. Maybe you can see something through it.
6 of 17: Click on the machine part that you can see through the window to learn that it's the thermostat. Now how might you trick the thing into increasing the heat?
7 of 17: You need to somehow make it think that the room is much cooler than it really is.
8 of 17: Maybe if you put something cool over the thermostat, it would think the whole place is that cold.
9 of 17: You have a cloth in your inventory (the handkerchief from the Stonering area), so find a way to make it cool.
10 of 17: Perhaps the cloth would be cooler if it were wet.
11 of 17: If you examine the fountain in the sanatorium lobby, you'll learn that its water is very cold.
12 of 17: So use the handkerchief on the fountain to get it to be cold, too.
13 of 17: Now maybe you can toss it through the window and onto the boiler room's thermostat.
14 of 17: Didn't work, huh? You'll have to get closer to the thermostat somehow.
15 of 17: If you remove one of the bars on the window, you'll have more room.
16 of 17: Now you can toss your wet handkerchief onto the machine's thermostat and begin the gradual heat-up.
17 of 17: Back away from the window and stand and wait for the worker to come out and get his "special" beer. (BUG NOTE: You could leave and then reenter the screen, but the game might freeze if it tries to get the guy to come out and get the beer just as you're moving to another screen. It's safest to just stand and wait for it to happen.)
