The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon Hints
Under Siege
of 14: This quest starts off with Falco telling you to go to the Imperial Cult Shrine in Fort Frostmoth and get some silver longswords that Carnius is withholding.
of 14: To get the swords, simply talk to Constans Atrius, whom you'll remember is standing just outside the door to Carnius' room.
of 14: Well, that was easy. What do you want to bet that not all is well back at the colony?
of 14: Sure 'nuff, when you return and report to Falco, he'll say that some Skaal warriors attacked and then retreated into the mine.
of 14: So enter the mine and hunt those Skaal down.
of 14: Make your way through all of the mine tunnels, killing every Skaal warrior you come across.
of 14: You should eventually end up at the north tip of the north tunnel branch on the lower level of the mine where Lloren and Berendus have taken refuge. (It's right near the door to the Abandoned Mine Shaft.)
of 14: By the time you get there, you should have gotten all the Skaal.
of 14: But don't leave just yet. Falco's going to want proof that this wasn't a real Skaal attack.
of 14: Near Lloren and Berendus, you should have killed a "Skaal" named Toralf. Search his body to find a note from "C."
of 14: Well, kiddies, "A" is for "Apple," "B" is for "Bear," and "C" is for "Carnius," as Falco well knows. When you turn the note over to him, he'll give it back (after you talk to him again) and say to go confront Carnius with it.
of 14: Naturally, Carnius gets mad and attacks you when you talk to him. Kill him and get his neat Stalhrim mace.
of 14: Report back to Falco to finish the quest and get promoted to Factor, the highest rank the EEC has to offer. Yes!
of 14: BUG NOTE: One time when I played, I could never get this quest out of the journal, and therefore could never get "The Factor's Estate" quest. If you also have this problem, make sure you've had Falco promote you to Factor by talking to him about "promotion," then bring down the console and type the following two lines:
journal co_13 70 set colonystate to 23 When you talk to Falco about "assignment" after that, he should say that he has nothing for you right now instead of mentioning the Skaal attack again. All you have to do is wait a few days to get the estate quest (though note that you shouldn't wait for an automatic journal update, since you won't get one).
