What's the alternative?
1 of 7: You could kill the three witches now and search their bodies for notes.
2 of 7: The notes mention a curative scroll in a hollow icicle on the cave roof.
3 of 7: To find it, levitate up from about where Ettiene was standing. It's a long, thin icicle that registers as "hollowed-out icicle" when you get close enough to it to activate it.
4 of 7: Open the icicle like a regular container to find the Scroll of the Wolf Ender.
5 of 7: When you're ready, simply read it like you would any scroll or book to get cured.
6 of 7: Matter of fact, you can enter the Gloomy Cave and nab the scroll at any time after becoming a werewolf, even without starting on this quest. (Well, *almost* any time.)
7 of 7: There are several things wrong with the scroll. Besides the fact that it sometimes just plain doesn't work, there's also the fact that the hollow icicle it's in is "deactivated" all during the werewolf main quests -- it's only there before you start the main quests as a werewolf and after you finish them. Thankfully, the witches' ritual will work at any time.
