The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon Hints
The Totem of Claw and Fang
1 of 8: After curing yourself of the werewolf disease, talk to Wind-Eye again to be named the local Blodskaal, and to have Halfhand's old hut given to you. (It's even renamed "The Blodskaal's House." Cool, huh?)
2 of 8: Then talk to Wind-Eye again to learn of the Ristaag ritual and the need for an item called the Totem of Claw and Fang.
3 of 8: BUG NOTE: You could skip the rest of this quest by talking to Wind-Eye repeatedly about "Ristaag" and "please the All-Maker" until he gives you the next quest. That'll work, but the totem quest won't ever be removed from the active quest list in your journal.
4 of 8: The totem object is in the Tombs of Skaalara (location 7 on the Solstheim Map), so go search for it there.
5 of 8: It's in the locked chest that's in the south central room (the one with a Stalhrim-frozen skeleton in it).
6 of 8: You'll have to fight some werewolves on your way to the totem, so be ready to cure yourself of their disease again if you have to.
7 of 8: When you give the totem to Wind-Eye, he'll teach you a spell called "Call Wolf" that can be used to summon a wolf to help in combat.
8 of 8: BUG NOTE: One reader e-mailed in saying that Wind-Eye totally disappeared from the game during the course of doing this quest. This never happened to me, and it's clear that this is a game bug. If it happens to you, bring up the console window with ~, type RA and press ENTER, then press ~ again. If that doesn't work, do it again with the following command in place of RA:
placeatpc "korst wind-eye" 1,100,0 This should create a copy of Wind-Eye right in front of you that will work for the rest of the game. (Another alternative is to become a werewolf and finish the main quest series that way.)
