Where is the safe and how do I open it?

  • 1 of 11: The safe is in a dressing room in the basement.Where is the basement?
  • 2 of 11: From where you entered the basement, take the passage to the right.  Go past the screen-in area, to the end of the hallway, and turn right.  The dressing room is the first door on the right.
  • 3 of 11: Now that you know where the safe is, examine it for clues.
  • 4 of 11: The floor underneath the safe is sagging. 
  • 5 of 11: It might give way, with a little encouragement from below.
  • 6 of 11: Perhaps exploring the sub-basement area could be helpful.
  • 7 of 11: From the entrance to the sub-basement, go straight -- past the hall to the right -- and enter the first room on the right.
  • 8 of 11: Notice the strut?  It is holding up the sagging floor under the safe.
  • 9 of 11: George cannot move the strut -- the friction from the floor is too great.
  • 10 of 11: George cannot shift the strut on his own....
  • 11 of 11: But he's not on his own -- he can ask Nico to help!  While standing near the strut, open up the inventory screen and select the picture of Nico.  Once Nico's picture is the active one, select the gears icon to request her help with the strut.  Afterwards, George will have access to the contents of the safe.
