How can I get past this guard post?
1 of 4: Notice that the hall you're in features a couple of large windows and a small balcony. Investigate them for possibilities.
2 of 4: The window nearest the balcony has a clickable spot near its outer edge. Try it.
3 of 4: There's apparently some loose plaster there with rubble underneath it. Maybe it could be used as a distraction.
4 of 4: That will give you a chance to get past the guard post, but you'll always get caught as you go down the stairs beyond it, since the stairs lead to the room that the guard and his dog entered to investigate the noise.
