How can I take the thief's gold?

  • 1 of 13: The thief has a hideout in the Shades.  Try tracking him down there.
  • 2 of 13: He's living in the hovel in the right part of the Shades.  You're going to have to find a way to get over the gap there.
  • 3 of 13: Like the ladder.
  • 4 of 13: Unfortunately, the ladder is too loud to use as it is now.
  • 5 of 13: Try muffling it with something.
  • 6 of 13: That will cover both of the tips of the ladder.
  • 7 of 13: You won't have the item until after you've dealt with the mason, at least in part.
  • 8 of 13: Use the padded bra that you get while learning the handshake on the ladder to muffle it.  Then use the ladder to get into the hovel.
  • 9 of 13: Try taking the skeleton key from the thief now.
  • 10 of 13: Even though he rolls over, you can probably get him to roll back.
  • 11 of 13: Try tickling him.
  • 12 of 13: With a feather.  You should have gotten one from that strange creature in the mountains, at the same time as you got the egg.
  • 13 of 13: Now you can take the skeleton key.
