1 of 3: Those are the new "vulgar" creatures. You'll be formally introduced soon enough.
2 of 3: You'll meet your first one face-to-face as you return to the locked door in the Access Tunnel after getting the item you need to unlock the door.
3 of 3: TIP: It'll fire a plasma ball at you the first thing, so quickly grab it and return it with the grabber gun. If you hit the vulgar straight-on with it, it'll die instantly.
