Dracula: Origin Hints
How can I make the key?
of 14: In order to make the key, you first need to have the measurements and tools for the job.
of 14: Next, head down to the cellar and use the workbench to begin the puzzle.
of 14: The first thing to do is create four of the small, dark-brown dowels in the correct lengths. They're noted in your notes.
of 14: Cut four pieces of dowel by placing them along the tape measure, then using the saw on the desired length (click the very TIP of the saw on the right number).
of 14: The four lengths, from top to bottom, are 10, 8, 12, and 5 centimeters.
of 14: Next, you need to create a handle for the key out of the thicker, lighter-colored dowel.
of 14: Take a piece up against the tape measure and cut it with the saw to create a handle.
of 14: The length isn't hugely important -- I cut mine at around 4 centimeters.
of 14: Now place that piece on the left of the vertical dowel of the same color, right in the middle to create a handle.
of 14: Now neaten the ends of each of the pieces.
of 14: Use the file with the end of each dowel.
of 14: Now we need to attach the pieces together.
of 14: You have a hammer and nails, so place a nail by each of the joints (to the left of each of the darker, thinner dowels, and one to the right of the handle).
of 14: Now use the hammer on each one to complete the key.
