How can I get his trunk open?

  • 1 of 14: Click the magnifying glass cursor on the top of the trunk to get a close-up of its locking mechanism.
  • 2 of 14: Before you can even start on working out the combination for the lock, you'll have to figure out how to raise the lock's lid.
  • 3 of 14: After the lid rises, you'll be faced with a six-part combination lock that has to do with colors.
  • 4 of 14: The first thing to do is figure out what colors are used in the solution.
  • 5 of 14: Since the Romanian flag has only three colors on it, the combo lock must be set to accept two of each color.
  • 6 of 14: Before you start trying to enter colors, experiment around with moving the lock's color settings.
  • 7 of 14: Note that in most cases, moving one color setting will also move another color setting at the same time.
  • 8 of 14: So the next thing to figure out is your "order of operations," so to speak.
  • 9 of 14: So now, exactly what is the color scheme used? You know it includes red, yellow, and blue, but what could the exact combo be?
  • 10 of 14: You could try red-red-yellow-yellow-blue-blue, or blue-blue-yellow-yellow-red-red, or red-yellow-blue-red-yellow-blue, or several other possibilities.
  • 11 of 14: If you read the inscription on the memorial outside of the village, you'll see that it lists the colors in the order: blue, yellow, red.
  • 12 of 14: If you simply double each of those, you'll get blue-blue-yellow-yellow-red-red.
  • 13 of 14: That's the right combo, so use the movement rules we came up with above to enter that into the lock.
  • 14 of 14: The trunk will spring open right after you enter the correct combo into the lock.
