How can I get the Grand Oak's help?

  • 1 of 7: Talk to the Grand Oak in his clearing in the West Brecilian Forest.
  • 2 of 7: Agree to help it get its stolen acorn back from the mad hermit, then return to the East Brecilian Forest area.
  • 3 of 7: Go to the mad hermit's camp (NE path from the hub) and talk to him about the Grand Oak's acorn.
  • 4 of 7: He's willing to trade it for one of several items that interest him.
  • 5 of 7: If you can't or don't want to trade, look around to find the acorn.
  • 6 of 7: Return to the Grand Oak and hand the acorn over to get an enchanted oak branch which can be used as a magic staff.
  • 7 of 7: You can now return to the East Brecilian Forest and push into the magic barrier to dissipate it.
