Dragon Age: Origins Hints
Slay Witherfang and bring his heart to Zathrian.
1 of 14: The first thing to do is look around the Dalish camp for optional items and quests.
2 of 14: When you're ready to start exploring the forest, use the exit along the east side of the camp to enter the West Brecilian Forest area.
3 of 14: The western section of that area is separated from the rest of it by a river that can only be crossed at its north end. You could run straight for the crossing point, but it's best to explore the western section more thoroughly.
4 of 14: At the river's crossing point, you'll encounter a werewolf trio led by Swiftrunner.
5 of 14: You can try to persuade or intimidate them out of a fight, or you can just fight them. (They'll run off after you significantly injure one of them.)
6 of 14: After that, explore the rest of the West Brecilian Forest area for combat and loot, plus two exits to the East Brecilian Forest area.
7 of 14: Use the southern East Brecilian Forest exit, then watch for an elfroot plant and a wild sylvan while moving down the path.
8 of 14: When you come to the large circular "hub" of the area, take the time to explore the hub and the three northern paths before going down the southern path.
11 of 14: Just past the barrier, Swiftrunner will attack you again with more of his werewolf buddies. Focus your attacks on Swiftrunner if you want to end the battle more quickly.
12 of 14: Check the ruins past him to find two locked chests, a pile of bones, and a gravestone that's part of the "The Mage's Treasure" quest.
13 of 14: Move on past that to find the entrance to the ruins that the werewolves are hiding out in.
14 of 14: You'll have to go through the upper and lower levels before you can enter the werewolf lair, where Witherfang is.
