Dragon Age: Origins Hints
Lair of the Werewolves
of 8: Loot the two interactive corpses in the first room to get corpse gall, then open the south door and back up as some werewolves (including sneaky shadow wolves) attack you.
of 8: After they're down, lure out the other wolves in the room, including its southern part, a few at a time.
of 8: Have your rogue detect and disarm the traps in the room, then check it and its four little side areas to find a locked chest, a pile of junk, a pile of sacks, rubble, and a pile of filth.
of 8: Take the south passage to a room where the remaining werewolves ask to parley. You could get them to take you to the Lady of the Forest, but you can get to her without their help, so you'll probably want to fight them for XP.
of 8: Check their room for two lootable sarcophagi, then check the east side rooms for two locked chests, a pile of rags, and a pile of ancient texts that includes a Scroll of Banastor. The west side rooms include a pile of filth, two locked chests, a pile of sacks, and a glass phylactery.
of 8: As with the glass phylactery in the Lower Ruins area, examine this one and take its vial, then kill and loot the powerful revenant that attacks.
of 8: Going south from the werewolves' room and opening the next door will get you a conversation cut-scene with the Lady of the Forest, which is the "point of no return" for finishing the Dalish treaty quest. You'll probably want to go back the way you came and explore other areas, and return to finish up later.
of 8: During conversation, you'll have several options to choose from. Which ones you use will determine whether you end up with an elf army or a werewolf army for the big battles in Part 5 of the game.
