Hub Tips
1 of 4: Check along the west side of the hub for an elfroot plant, then go over to its east side to find a cluster of three wild sylvans.
2 of 4: As before, carefully approach each wild sylvan to "activate" it individually, then retreat quickly while hitting it with ranged attacks.
3 of 4: After all three of them are dead, look for a skeleton east of where they were. Loot it to get the magical Mythal's Blessing shield.
4 of 4: After you fully explore all of the hub's three northern paths, use the southern exit to return to the West Brecilian Forest area. Run west to the bridge that crosses the second river to see if there's a big werewolf ambush waiting for you there. If so, take care of it before returning to the eastern forest. (If not, it'll probably be there later.)
