Dragon Age: Origins Hints

DENERIM: Rescue the Queen

  • 1 of 11: NOTE: This entire quest is all stuck in under the one objective of "Rescue Queen Anora," so these hints won't have an objective list.
  • 2 of 11: Read the book in the arl's study for a codex entry and raid the locked chest in his bedroom if you can.
  • 3 of 11: Exit the estate and choose your party, then travel to the Arl of Denerim's Estate on the city map.
  • 4 of 11: At the estate, you'll find the front door blocked by a mob of people.
  • 5 of 11: Inside, move forward to get Erlina to talk to you again. You'll then have to choose whether or not to wear disguises so you can avoid unnecessary combat. (The following hints will assume you use the disguises.)
  • 6 of 11: Raid the two wooden crates in the kitchen's south side room, then look for another wooden crate in the dining room's NE side room.
  • 7 of 11: In the hallway west of the dining room, check the west room for armor and weapon stands, then go through the north room to reach another hallway.
  • 8 of 11: Search its four side rooms for three locked chests and a codex-giving book, then go through the front room's NE doorway to find the queen's magically locked cell.
  • 9 of 11: Go west to the estate's front room to be confronted by a large contingent of guards.
  • 10 of 11: After you escape the fort (or leave the estate if you beat Ser Cauthrien and her men), take the time to finish the "Lost Templar," "Missing in Action," and "Tortured Noble" optional quests.
  • 11 of 11: Then return to Arl Eamon's estate and talk to him and Anora in his study to finish this quest.
